Dr Tam - Training & Education

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (New Zealand) and Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) Sydney.

 

Is undertaking further training in a 2 year continuing education qualification with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS - Melbourne).

 

Nearly 20 years experience in Cosmetic, Implant and Rehabilitative Dental Procedures. Special Interest is Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry especially in regard to Dental Implants, Tooth Whitening and Porcelain Veneers, Dr. Tam is a leader in cosmetic dentistry and dental implants in North Sydney.

 

Dr. Tam also lectures on 'smile design.'

 

Affiliated and accredited with numerous dental societies and dental organisations.

 

Is involved in mentorship initiatives with younger dentists. Is a Mentor teaching and educating dentists in the 'crown aspect' of Implant Dentistry in association with Nobel Biocare.

 

Undergoes frequent referral from other dentists for dental implants, cosmetic procedures and difficult wisdom teeth.

 

Completed further training in advanced cosmetic procedures, dental implants, orthodontics and precision crown and bridge in Australia and also overseas.

 

On going personal commitment to continuing education in his areas of interest which include advance dental cosmetics, orthodontics and aesthetic implants. Attended numerous seminars and continuing education courses on Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry.

 

Completed an 18 month postgraduate advanced training programme - Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) at the University of Sydney - Westmead Hospital.

 

Chosen to perform cosmetic dental procedures on Channel Seven's "The Body Specialists" on Thursday nights. During his appearances he has discussed in-chair tooth whitening systems and performed smile design and porcelain veneers treatment for two patients.

 

Writes regular articles in "Cosmetic Surgery Magazine" - a quarterly publication.

 

Meets with Cosmetic and Implant Specialists on a regular basis to discuss the latest evidenced based techniques and procedures.
